Week of August 15th, 2016
This week I had my first “deep fried” hotdog. If I was going to eat one of course I had to go to the Rut Hut! (I read about them in my book of 1000 things to see before you die.) My Rut Hut hot dog was so good I ordered the second one. They were delicious! Later in the week I learned about Italian Hotdogs. I thought New Jersey was the garden state not the home of famous hot dogs!
I asked each bail agent what they thought would happen to bail in 2017. Everyone agreed, they believe bail will still be around, but the bonds will be fewer with misdemeanor and first time offenders probably been released on ROR or 10% to the court. Together we need to work to recreate the image of the modern bail agent. The modern bail agent should be able to provide any service the court orders as appropriate for our clients. These services could be GPS monitoring, alcohol or drug testing, to working with rehab facilities to coordinate the defendants release from jail when a bed is available at a rehab center.
While traveling through New Jersey I was able to spend a night in Cape May, also in the book. This was my first visit to the cape. Cape May is a beautiful Victorian town that could easily be my favorite ocean resort town in New Jersey.
I enjoyed my time with each and every one of my bail agents. As always, thank you for your friendship and loyalty to Bail USA. I appreciate each of you.
