August 22nd, 2016
Our travels this week took us from Fargo to Williston to Watford City, ND to Des Moines, Iowa. A really long drive to meet three agencies, but it was part of my promise to my bail agents that I intend to fulfill. However, please remember, if an agent is not available when I travel through the area I am not making a return trip in the next year.
If you have never been through the Dakota’s it is a beautiful area. You see fields and fields of gold as the sun shines on the rolling acres of wheat and sunflowers growing there. Tim and I consistently are in awe of the scenery and the vastness of the land in this great country we live in. Some sites worth putting on your bucket list are Deadwood City, Mount Rushmore and the Corn Palace. I was particularly impressed with the Corn Palace. Each year this huge building, where the high school basketball teams play, is resurfaced with a new theme. The theme for 2016 was Rock of Ages. With corn cobs, corn fodder and corn silk they created pictures of Elvis, Willy Nelson, Michael Jackson and others.
I thank the Kinsella ladies for taking the time to meet with me. I appreciate Mr. Beane for having coffee with me and providing me with fun facts about how business works in the Great Plains. Lastly, I thank the Lederman Brothers for traveling to sit down and meet with Jon Scneider and I. It was great catching up with all of you. I am so very thankful for my friendship and business relationship with each and every one of you.
It’s been a long week and it will be good to be in the office next week. My next adventure takes us to Colorado, Wyoming and Montana!
If you have not done so, please take the time now to register for the Bail USA 2016 convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. I hope to see you there!
