Week of May 23rd, 2016
Our friend and fellow bail agent Doyle Powell of New Orleans Louisiana was laid to rest on Saturday. His wife Doris stated they were married when she was 18 and he was the love of her life. Doris and her daughter Deanne are taking over the bail business, I know they will do well.
Tim and I enjoyed our trip through Louisiana. We were able to take a little time to travel the Bayous and learn a little bit about how people live in that area. We learned the Duck Dynasty cast of characters live in Monroe, Louisiana. (I really wanted to meet them.) We ate some of the best seafood we have ever eaten, and I finally ate crawfish, and yes they taste like little lobsters! Several of the people I met for the first time. Bail USA once again has the best bail agents in Louisiana as part of our team.
From Louisiana we saw bail agents in Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tennessee and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Two bail agents I met this week, Matt Dennis and Charles White, are working hard in their state to eliminate jail overcrowding. I spoke to both individuals about how their program to alleviate jail overcrowding works and how it can be implemented. Both gentlemen have different ways to implement a solution to this problem. Both are willing to work with you to implement their ideas. Call me if you are interested and we can talk about both of their programs. Which one would work best for you? Remember, if we eliminate the jail overcrowding problem, we eliminate the need for federal grant money to be given to non-profits like Vera, Pretrial Justice Institute.
I appreciate every bail agent who took time out of their busy schedule to meet with me this week. I enjoyed meeting your spouses and your children. I thank you for your past business with Bail USA and look forward to a bright future as we move forward together! Thank you for a great week.
